Annamarie Thompson

Rotating Graduate Student


Annamarie is a student in the Molecular Cancer Biology PhD program. She graduated from Mississippi State University in 2025 with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. During her undergraduate studies, Annamarie was involved in a variety of research projects ranging from diabetic wound healing to epigenetic mechanisms of drug resistance in pediatric brain tumors. During her rotation, Annamarie will be testing and optimizing a spectral flow cytometry panel to measure the activity of lymphocytes in patient-derived TILs. Outside of lab, Annamarie enjoys hiking, playing golf, exploring the Triangle, and baking.
